The CANB Navigator position is for an individual with extensive experience with immigration services and programs. The position involves support for construction industry employers and immigrant candidates to ensure people are connected to the right services quickly and that barriers to services are reduced whenever possible. 

Position would include: 

  • Working with the construction association to aid with all related immigration services 

  • Working directly with individuals to answer questions, complete required paperwork and follow up with the appropriate channels. 

  • Be a liaison between individuals and government for immigration 

  • Creating contacts and relationships with federal and provincial government 

  • Proactive in researching new streams and upcoming changes to immigration related services

  • Creating and updating hiring aids such as road maps, contacts, resources, etc. 

 

Skills 

  • Vast knowledge with immigration programs such Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) 

  • Problem solving 

  • Human Resources

  • Communication, both written and verbal 

  • Current knowledge in best practices for all related immigration needs 

  • Strong knowledge of the immigration government and community services available 

  • Proficient in computer skills and adaptive to changes and updated of applications and programs
